Well, after 5 days of fairly intensive rehearsing, the tour is set to go! We've got a great band and, with some excellent tunes & arrangements (by none other than our wonderful musical director Jeff Sturges), all the pieces are in place for a terrific show.
Rehearsals took place at SIR Studios in Hollywood. A couple of noteworthy moments; saw none other than drum great Steve Gadd today who was there for a photo shoot for Yamaha drums (somewhat apropos since we're doing the tune "Just The Two of Us" in the show - a track he played on), and, a couple of days ago, chatted up a couple of ladies who were auditioning for Kelly Osbourne's (yes, that Kelly Osbourne) band. Guess it goes to show that music (musical talent?) comes in all shapes and sizes.
Well music fans, that's all for now. Tomorrow morning it's off to LAX (oy!) and on to the great state of Mississippi!
